Tricky Words (Done with Fun!)

With Tricky Words you can laugh while you learn!!

In a nutshell, my Tricky Words books offer a treasury of tips, hints and fun ideas to help young readers get on top of difficult spelling and confusing words.  From the first word I wrote, I had ‘determined non-spellers’ very much in mind – those students who fold their arms (or worse!) at the mere thought of spelling words correctly – thus the books’ relaxed presentation and emphasis on humour!

Currently there are two books available in the series: My Aunt Ate a Plate and A Lion, a Whale and a Flea. The third book, How to Make a Rainbow Rose, is due out shortly.

All three books are full to the brim with original comic poems and short stories that I’ve deliberately embedded with hundreds of tricky words – homophones, contractions, possessive nouns and words with silent letters.LWF - HOMOPHONES

The tricky words are presented in outline font ready for young readers to colour in as they read.
